Good Faith Efforts for Access and Equity for All Students
CCTI is committed to making a good faith effort in providing a free appropriate public education (FAPE) by providing a continuity of education, planned instruction, appropriate, and reasonable services for students while our school districts are closed due to COVID-19.  CCTI’s administration and staff are providing opportunities for distance learning and supporting students using technology (ex- google classroom, zoom), emails, recorded instructional and tutorial videos, paper/pencil assignments. Instructional staff are collaborating with teachers to support students through distance learning. CCTI’s School Nurse and Guidance Counselor are working to protect the mental health and safety of all students by offering counseling services. Special Education teachers continue to meet deadlines and hold IEP meetings using remote means. Related service providers maintain contact with students while offering consultation services.

Special Education Supports
During the closure, to the best of our ability, IEP meetings will continue to include the student, parent, LEA, Special Education Case Manager, regular education teacher and CTE representative and will be conducted via phone conference. If these members are not able to participate due to ongoing closure, appropriate waivers will be utilized, and/or the opportunity for the team to reconvene once school reopens will be provided.

All appropriate staff will, to the best of their ability, continue to support IEP students by providing access to resources; accommodations; specially designed instruction (recorded instructional and tutorial videos, Zoom meetings, paper/pencil assignments, etc.); and appropriate counseling services.

EL Supports
All appropriate staff will, to the best of their ability, continue to support EL students by providing access to resources; accommodations; specially designed instruction (recorded instructional and tutorial videos, Zoom meetings, paper/pencil assignments, etc.); and appropriate counseling services.
