CCTI Interim Principal
Hello CCTI Students and Families:
Mr. Thomas Lesisko will serve as our interim principal effective February 17th.
Thomas William Lesisko brings decades of educational leadership and a deep
commitment to career and technical education to his role as Interim Principal at the
Carbon Career and Technical Institute (CCTI). His career in education has been marked
by dedication to student success and a passion for hands-on learning.
Mr. Lesisko began his teaching career at the Carbon County Area Vocational Technical
School as a graphic design instructor for 18 years, where he discovered his passion for
technical education and its power to transform students’ lives. In 2004, he transitioned
to administrative leadership when he became Principal of Jim Thorpe Area High School,
a position he held with distinction until 2025. During this tenure, he demonstrated
leadership and commitment to educational excellence. He subsequently served as
Interim Superintendent to close out 2025, further broadening his administrative
experience.

Mr. Lesisko takes particular pride in the accomplishments of CCTI students in SkillsUSA
and DECA competitions. Under the guidance of CCTI’s exceptional teachers and staff,
students have successfully competed at the state and national levels, demonstrating
that they are among the best technical students in Pennsylvania and across the country.

As Interim Principal, Mr. Lesisko is honored to work alongside the dedicated teachers
and staff at CCTI who share his commitment to providing students with the skills,
knowledge, and experience they need to succeed in their chosen careers. He looks
forward to continuing CCTI’s tradition of excellence in career and technical education.

position the school for continued growth and achievement under its next permanent
leader.
