Career Pathways General Education Development (GED)

At CCTI, we offer FREE Secondary Diploma preparation classes in partnership with Lehigh Carbon Community College.
Day – Evening – Zoom – Hybrid classes now forming!
Distance Learning via zoom allows students to prepare without being in a classroom setting.
Other support services include student success counseling while attending our classes.
Once ready for testing, participants can register for the GED test at our location in Jim Thorpe.

How do I start?

Students must attend an orientation, complete a placement assessment, and an application for enrollment.

Orientation/placement testing is scheduled regularly. Pre-registration is required by filling out the form below or contacting 570-325-3682 x 1517.

Orientations are currently being held at CCTI 9:00- Noon or Noon – 4:00 p.m. (only 8 students per session). You must pre-register by calling or completing the form. You will then be emailed a confirmation with the date/time.

ORIENTATIONS ARE SCHEDULED FOR NEW STUDENTS IN DECEMBER – JANUARY 2024 START!

What are the requirements of the program?

Students must first meet placement test requirements, complete an application, and attend an orientation. Attendance is mandatory during this period. Students who miss testing or orientation will be removed from the program.

Individuals in F-1 immigration status are prohibited from attending publicly funded adult/family literacy education programs.
A social security number is not required to participate in grant-funded classes.
Individuals currently enrolled in high school, any technical institute or any college classes are prohibited from attending this program.
Individuals must be 18 to attend.

Lansford Townhouses Rec Room 9:00 a.m.- 11:30 a.m. Tuesday/Thursday (in-person & zoom)

CCTI Evening 6:00 – 8: 30 p.m. Tuesday/Thursday (in-person only)

Evening 6:00-9:00 p.m. Monday/Wednesday (zoom only)
